Blessed!!!

Blessed!!!!

I am so so blessed!! Not with material things but with a Godly Fellowship!! Yesterday was cool and rainy. A couple of the men from our Fellowship had went campus preaching so the ladies decided to have a sewing day!! I love my Sisters!! And when we get together it is always a blessing!!

        Hebrews 10:23-25King James Version (KJV)

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

A moist and misty morning! I love the early spring tree colors!! The light greens and white dogwoods and the purple red buds!! So beautiful together!! Makes you think how marvelous God is!!

Now here is a good old down pour!! I know I'm weird but I LOVE rainy days!!

Here is most of the ladies. Just hanging out, drinking coffee, and visiting! We call it a sewing day but sometimes it turns into a fellowshipping day hahaha. Only one of us was actually sewing at this time.

And here she is the lone sewer haha!! This is my Sister Nida hard at work. Working on a new skirt. Now the other Sisters probably started sewing after I left to go home. I left earlier then most of them to go home. I had thing to get done before my dear husband got home from work.

Here is my Sister Lauren! Drinking her coffee.

And here is the new Bride Jenna!! She is such a sweetie!! This is her first ladies day get together were she sat with all the married ladies!! I think she was excited to be there as a married lady!!! And that is Sister Shanequa!

And these two are Sister Chandler with the white headcovering on and Sister Angela in the black shirt and headcovering. It is so lovely to be able to get together and have a ladies day!! What a Blessing!!

Sister Shanequa again, with her beautiful daughter!

And here is Sister Nida again cutting out fabric for that skirt she was working on. She has the prettiest smile!! Oh by the way Sister Nida is the new Brides Mother. Just wanted to add that haha.
I love all my Sister!! What a Blessing to have Sisters like them to have Fellowship with!! We look out and care for each other!! God is so GOOD to me!!

  3. Where in Kentucky do you live? My parents live in Sonora/Upton area. Your pictures are beautiful.

I was intrigued by the photos of the women in your church. The head coverings are lovely. I am the only one in my church who covers. I don't cover at home. I would love to hear about the traditional dress you mentioned in the young lady's wedding. What traditional dress?

    1. Hello and welcome!! I live near Columbia. I think your parents are about 1hr 20min. from where I live.

Thank you for the sweet comment on our head coverings. That is wonderful that you obey Gods word and cover in church even though you are the only one, We cover because of 1 Corinthians 11. that tells us to cover our heads when ever praying or prophesying. Which I'm sure you know of, since you cover sometimes also. I was just wondering do you pray at home or just in church? I don't ask that to upset you, but I was just wondering why you don't cover at home.
I'm so sorry but I'm not sure I spoke of a traditional dress in my wedding post. I did talk about how a few of the ladies and young ladies had dressed it period dress, meaning a time period, like I dressed in 1700's, and a friend of mine dressed in a early 1800's dress, and a couple of young ladies dressed in the 1950's dress. I hope that was what you were speaking of. Well I must go, May God bless you and your day. Please come back and again and visit.

  5. We have a sewing day at a local church here. Not the Church I go to. Lots of homeschool moms. We do sew, but lots of fellowship too. We start at 10:00am and end at about 4:00. We have crockpot soups, homemade bread, and homemade cookies for lunch. Such a fun day. We have it about once every six weeks to two months. Love your blog. Diane W.

  6. Hi Kelly! It's wonderful to see you so happy and to see some of your church family. When I was a stay at home mom I went to all of our women's fellowship get togethers. I miss them. I hope I'll be keeping home again soon.

I've updated my storage drawer project and added another project I've completed. Next posts will be about the garden.
    Blessings!
